Who can volunteer?
We’re looking for anyone who enjoys sports, civic activities and events! No experience necessary. Chances are, a lot of your friends and neighbors will be right beside you, helping to make the “Running for the bay! Marathon a great success!
You’ll be right on top of the action!
If you have a loved one running, you’ll be right on the course with them and watching them as they come by. You’ll be able to shout words of encouragement as they head toward the finish line!
What you’ll receive!
Besides the great feeling at the end of the day knowing you’ve helped out your community, fellow athletes and friends, you’ll also get a FREE “Running for the bay! Marathon Volunteer T-SHIRT (a $20.00 value). Plus, your choice of either 8 Service Hours. (Many students on their way to college are looking for service hours to show their chosen college they were leaders in their community; here is a great way to recieve them! In addition, they’ll be special GIVEAWAYS specifically for the volunteers! It’s our way of saying, “Thanks!”
(EIGHT SERVICE HOURS: We provide a letter outlining your gift of volunteering 8 hours to The "Running for the bay! Marathon event, signed by the Race Director!)
You won’t be bored!
A "Volunteer Trolley" will carry volunteers around the course all day. We want our volunteers to say they had a great time giving back to the community and watching their loved ones run and walk to victory!
Once you’re registered as a Volunteer (see the registration link TO COME), the Volunteers’ Coordinator will contact you and help you design a Volunteer plan that works for both you and the “Running for the bay!” Marathon.
